Consequences

I am usually all in favour of ways found by the Scottish or UK governments to improve people’s rights and security. What a shame that the consequences of the new renters rights are a general move for landlords to sell property and evict longstanding good tenants instead of renovating the property to meet the new standards. I am one of many being pushed out from a much loved and cared for home, by a landlord who has neglected their obligations of upkeep and is now selling rather than put right their neglect. The same landlord has eagerly collected thousands of pounds in rent from us and our neighbours who have been here for over ten or in one case twenty years. We have stayed and put up with the lack of upkeep because we love where we live and our small community. We are facing a forced move in our twilight years in a drought of rental property and being unable to buy because of our financial situation and our age. Is this a modern version of the Highland clearances? I have friends in England who have gone through this process too. Eviction is such a dirty word.

Suggestions for other listings categories

I cannot find a way to contact admin directly so thought here would be a good place to post and see if anyone else thinks they could be good/useful suggestions. I think it would be worthwhile either adding new categories for Vintage & Collectibles or expanding the Antiques area to include them.

Any chance of a like/love indicator icon on listings

Just a suggestion - would it be possible to add a 'like/love' icon to listings? I think it could be encouraging to listers. Let's folk know their posts are being viewed as well.
