ScotBoard operates under a binding commitment: we will never sell, rent, trade, lease, or share your personal information with any third party, advertiser, data broker, or marketing company — ever. Your data is yours alone. Full stop.

We collect only the information you explicitly provide when you post a listing:

• Your name and email address
• The content you choose to post in your listing
• Photos you attach to your listing
• Your subscription status (if any)
• Your Scottish postcode — solely to confirm you are based in Scotland, as ScotBoard is exclusively for Scottish communities

We do not run tracking pixels, behavioural analytics, third-party cookies, or any form of cross-site profiling. We do not log your IP address for tracking purposes.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Base44 Payments using PCI-compliant infrastructure. We never see, store, access, or process your credit card number, CVV, or billing details. All payment data is encrypted and isolated from our systems. Identity verification payments (£1) are processed through the same secure channel.

We use only essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party analytics cookies. No covert tracking, no exceptions.

You can delete your own listings at any time from your Dashboard. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — we will comply within 7 business days, without question, in accordance with applicable data protection law including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 as they apply under Scots Law.

All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. All data at rest is encrypted. Access to user data is strictly limited to authenticated staff for essential platform operations only. We take the security of your information with the utmost seriousness.

The £1 identity verification process is voluntary. Verified status (the "ID Verified" badge) is indicated on your account and listings to help build trust within the community. The verification payment is non-refundable and processed securely via Base44 Payments. Your verification status is visible to other users but does not reveal any personal information about you.

We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email. Continued use of the platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

This policy is governed by Scots Law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
